About Me

Hello! My name is Keegan Hon and I am from Peoria, IL. I'm a variety content creator and Journalist with a focus in the arts. I have had a passion for music since I was a child often freestyling in the back of an old car with friends, which eventually led me to making music in college where I joined a Hip-Hop collective until I graduated in the winter of 2022. After college I started my content creation journey doing a series called “KayHon Puts you on” where I talked about and reacted to new music that people recommended–  During this period of content creation I found myself wanting to talk about all things Music, Art and Fashion shortly after moving to Chicago. Being Based in Chicago has led me to writing for Southside Weekly and Editing/writing for The Real Ones Show; Relic Rhymes Interview, and Menace4Hire “A star in the making”. 

 

In parallel to this work I created a youtube channel KayHon and this website to more freely make content about things I would’ve loved for someone to cover in a mixed media format. My youtube channel is filled with hundreds of videos talking predominantly about Music culture and current events happening within that space, but is soon to feature more work geared towards Fashion and art following my release of a video covering a Music and Mural artist “ Myron Laban - from Murals to Music.

 

My goal now is to increase the amount of work I produce and speak with artists along with platforming them in any way that I can. If you’re an artist or brand please reach out to me to connect!
